Self-Improvement 1, 2, 3

1. Accept that you need to grow stronger.

Most of us have yet to achieve our highest desire. Our lack of success is usually some combination of our strengths being too weak and our weaknesses being too strong.

The combination is different for each of us. But what we all have in common is that in order to achieve the success we desire we must grow stronger.

Will your success mean stronger finances, taking care of your family better, giving back to your community, or possibly recognition and respect? Imagine how satisfied you will be with that.

Now, are you ready to accept your need to grow stronger?

2. Commit to your growth.

What you want to achieve is valuable to you. Do you think anyone else wants to achieve the same thing? The answer is almost certainly yes. And there are likely to be a lot of people wanting the same thing. Can all of you achieve it? Probably not.

So who will achieve what you, and many others, want? Those who are the strongest in several different areas. Before you even look at how strong or weak you are in those areas, you must decide how much success means to you. How much do you want it? How hungry are you for it?

In order to greatly improve your chances of success, you must commit to grow stronger. Few people will make the necessary commitment simply because they don't want it enough.

You cannot just want to succeed. That's not enough. Too many other people will want it more than you. You have to be passionate about achieving your goal. Only then will you be willing to work hard at your self-improvement.

Are you ready to commit to your growth?

3. Look at yourself.

In order to grow stronger, you have to know what your strengths and weaknesses are. Maybe you're already aware of some of them. Maybe not. Do you know which are holding you back? That's not easy to know.

We think there are ten qualities that are essential to your success. You need to understand them and then decide how strong or weak you are in each. Knowing that might mean asking friends and family about each of your qualities.

Then you can see how those ten qualities relate to you. You'll get an idea of how much you need to grow. Will your growth to success take long? Probably. Measurable success does not come easily.

But imagine how great you'll feel when it does. Imagine how proud you'll be. Imagine all the things you'll be able to do. Imagine how others will now be impressed with you. Is that what you want?

Are you ready to learn about yourself so that you can grow stronger?

Finding the Courage and Drive to Follow Your Passion

There are two concepts that often stop us from pursuing our interests or passions. These interests or passions may include starting a business, writing a book, learning a new dance or pursuing a career. In regards to our passions, what typically derails us is our sense of fear and lack of motivation. I'd like to give you three techniques that may spike your courage and drive.

IT'S OKAY IF IT ISN'T PERFECT

Many people do not release a product or are stuck in their mind's kitchen of creativity due to insecurity. Go ahead, release that artwork and let others and yourself taste the delicacies of your passion. Buy that ticket to your dreams. There is absolutely no reason that a lack of a perfect plan should hold you up in life. Follow your instincts, even if the plan isn't perfectly formatted.

FIND ACCOUNTABILITY

We are constantly surrounded by individuals who are here to support us and who can advocate for our dreams to become reality. It's often very helpful to find the correct people who will act as accountability buddies when we feel weak. In the business world, this could be a sound partner who has strengths in your weaknesses. In education, I love the passion from my co-workers and we are constantly pushing each other to our highest outcomes. I suggest you do the same in your life. See how your partners or co-workers can support you and your team to success.

LOOK BOLD, UNTIL YOU KNOW

We've always heard the phrase "fake it, until you make it," however, I feel like that there is a lot of truth to this. One small step to feeling powerful and courageous is standing tall and going forward with a project or presentation. By already being this professional in presentation, you'll eventually feel your transformation driving you to success and your passion. If you've always wanted to be an actor, you have to first feel that you are a professional actor. Life is about playing the part, but still feeling authentic in your personal branding.

While these tips are not the answer to all, they are a good set of tools that can help you achieve great things in the work place. Now, to get it started; repeat this mantra, "I am an active change in my life." These are words that I give you to get your mind activated into motivation. Now, make a list of things you need to accomplish and follow these first three steps. I'm constantly practicing these strategies and casting away self-doubt. Look at you; you're on your way to conquering fear and getting your motivation.

7 Simple Things Getting in the Way of Your Win

I am a firm believer that every single person living on this planet is born to win at whatever they put their hand on.

However, most people do not get what they desire out of life, unfortunately.

7 Simple Things Getting in the Way of Your Win

They learn to settle for much less than they want and tell themselves that they are happy with it. And here are 7 things that do get in the way…

1. You Care Too Much About The Opinions Of Others.

Do you sometimes feel like the agendas of other people in your life are coming ahead of yours?

Others may be friends, relatives, co-workers, employees, your children, anyone who seems to hold sway over what you do or do not do. This can be pretty insidious because you may actually convince yourself that it is best to do what they expect of you because that is holy, spiritual, loving.

It can make you feel like a good person, except there is this creeping resentment inside of you that refuses to go away. You feel guilty about that as well.

You want to be good and you want to help people out and you do care that people like you and it all holds you back from going after your own goals.

People do have a right to their opinions but you also have a right to your full expression and your full life. Do not cave under the pressure of trying to keep various people happy. This is your one experience of life, ensure you use it to do the work you are here to do.

2. Not Doing The Work On A Consistent Basis

Whatever goal you have in mind, there will be certain things that need to be done. Are you consistently doing the work or are you allowing your feelings to determine if you get on with the work?

One of the biggest killers of dreams is the inability to stay consistent and to show up day in, day out to do the work whether you feel like it or not. And yet, it is also the simplest thing to get you success.

There may be all kinds of obstacles in your path and yet, if you will simply commit to reaching a baseline activity level each day, you will surprise yourself with how quickly you move forward.

Right now, make a simple list of things that you are committing to doing each and every day.

If you are in business, then it needs to include communicating with your audience, list building and making offers. The list just needs to include the bare minimum things that you absolutely commit to doing daily. Of course, you give yourself permission to do even more on the days when you feel amazing.

Then make a solemn promise to yourself that you will do the work, even when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Then DO IT!

3. Trying To Be Perfect

Perfection is unnecessary and usually a procrastination tactic that gets in the way of you creating the life you desire.

Lots of entrepreneurs spend their time perfecting their product whereas their time would be better spent launching it to the market as soon as minimally viable and then improving it based on actual customer feedback.

Launch as quickly as possible. Correct and adjust based on feedback. Don’t get attached to one way of doing things. Be willing to trial different routes to market and stop waiting for the perfect way to do anything. It does not exist!

4. Self-Doubt

Can I let you into a secret?

Self-doubt is a choice. I know you may have felt helpless to change it but it really is your choice.

Self-doubt is a rehearsed response to life and its difficulties and you can simply choose to rehearse a different response. No, it is not easy but it is simple to do. Choose to check yourself whenever random negative thoughts present themselves to you and turn it around to something more positive.

I sometimes get my clients to hourly write out an ‘I AM’ list with all their positive qualities as well as all the things they are choosing to be.

This elevates their mood and they are able then to act from a place of power for at least the next 60 minutes before they do it again. After a few days/weeks of doing this, their brain is retrained towards self-belief.

You can try it for yourself. Set the timer on your phone for 60 minutes and do it.

5. Giving Up At Obstacles

Napoleon Bonaparte said “I see only my objective – the obstacles must give way.”Okay, Napoleon is not necessarily known for being nice and kind but that quote is relevant to this point and to all successful people.

In life and business, as you go for your objectives, you will have obstacles. You can be sure of it! The question is: Will they defeat you or will you defeat them? Obstacles are not roadblocks unless you make them so.

There is only way to fail – you quit – and there are many, many ways to succeed. Find your route to the win!

6. No Clarity Of Purpose

Do you actually know what you want? Clearly? Lots of people don’t!

They are experiencing goal fatigue where they give up on setting goals because it feel futile to wish for things to improve and so they settle into a life that goes nowhere and they try to ignore their boredom.

You, however, know you are born for more and so, you need to keep the vision clearly at the top of your mind. Write down your goals daily, write down your big vision regularly, write down how you choose to show up in the world.

Get clear! Define what a win means to you and refuse to back down until it is present in your world.

7. Focus on the Past

You cannot focus on the past and at the same time, create a better future. Your past has happened, it is done. There may be a few lessons to learn but really, you can draw a line under the sand and start creating a new future now. It really is your choice.

You can write out what you want to create and choose who you need to be to get that chosen future and right now, in this moment, choose to be that person until it becomes natural to you. Do it now!

As the saying goes, “Stop looking back, that is not the way you are headed”
Summary

If you will handle these 7 things, you will be much closer to winning at whatever you set your mind and heart to.

Keeping Positive

Thinking positive is a mental and emotional attitude that focuses on the happy and good side of life, and in turn attracts positive results. A positive person anticipates happiness, health and success, and believes that it can be achieved!

"If you believe you can, you are half way there."

It is important to adopt the attitude of positive thinking in everything that you do. As they say "practice makes perfect", so the more you do it, the easier it becomes, and eventually it will be a way of life. After all life is short and you only get one chance at it, so why not make it a happy and worthwhile experience?

"Happiness is not ready-made... its comes from your own actions" - Dalai Lama

Keeping it positive creates real value in your life, which can have an impact on your work, health and life in general.

Negative emotions narrow your mind and focus your thoughts on the negative. Your mind becomes closed to possibility thinking.

Positive emotions broaden your sense of possibilities and opens your mind. If you start to adopt the attitude that everything in life is possible, you will discover that there will be more positive things happening in your life.

Life becomes a lot easier if you approach it with a happy and positive outlook. I'm not saying that everyday is going to be filled with sunshine because that would be unrealistic.

What I am saying is that when you are faced with obstacles and/or hardship, try to look at the problem with an open mind. Look for the positive way of solving it rather than get caught up in negative thoughts.

Positive emotions allow you to discover and build new skills and resources that can provide value and have a great impact in other areas of your life eg: your health, job, relationships.

Negative emotions have the opposite effect, because they take control and so your brain only focuses on the negative thought/ feeling. This results in you placing your attention on what could go wrong, thereby limiting the other possible options around you.

Negative thinking restricts you completely and can have a lasting damaging effect on your life in general. "Consider negativity as a poison... to be avoided!"

You need to learn to think positively and to increase positive emotions. Start by doing things that bring you happiness, contentment and love, eg: make time for a hobby, play the piano, gardening or spending time with that special person.

To change your mindset from negative to positive is not something that happens overnight... like most habits, you need to work on it. Every day you have to make a conscious effort to be positive until it becomes a part of your every day living. You need to condition your mind towards positive thinking.

Here are some tips on how to increase positive thinking in your life:

1. Make a conscious decision to be positive.

2. Speak in a positive way, using positive words.

3. When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts, endeavour to replace them with positive ones. You will probably have to persevere with this one to eventually teach your mind to think positively and to ignore the negative thoughts.

4. Always expect good and favourable results - a positive outlook is more likely to yield a positive outcome.

5. Use affirmations, positive statements repeated to describe a desired situation or goal, until they are impressed on the subconscious.

Believe you can and you are half way there.

Remember that you are the only person who thinks in your mind. You can choose to look at the good in things or the bad, you are the power and authority in your world. The decision to be happy lies within you.

Rediscovering Yourself: Your Guide to Self-Improvement

Have you lost your way, drifting through the haze of life, living your life in never ending cycle, like you're stuck in a programming loop?

But it wasn't always like this, was it! You had a purpose once; something to look forward to, something to achieve in life, something to live for.

If you're truly looking to get back to the way things were, there is a way. Self-improvement is not an exact science. The approach that works varies with different individuals.

In our youth, we are bursting with energy where our emotions drive us to achieve the great and the good in our lives; both the negative and the positive feelings. As age progresses, and we cross into adulthood, a state of numbness settles in which shrouds our emotions from impacting our lives in any way. We become zombies.

To break free from this catatonic state, it is crucial that we get in touch with our inner self. How do we do that?

Its simple. Dream again!

Getting in touch with your emotions, even negative emotions like fear and guilt, can help motivate us to get our lives back in order. To help us rediscover our passion for all the good things this world has to offer, to gravitate us towards the goals we had buried inside us.

The fundamental question to address here is whether to focus on your passion or to do your duty and while we don't deny that our obligations are a priority in life such as our obligation to our families. To give time to our parents, our spouses and our children, our commitment to our career, to provide for that dependent on us and our responsibility as a member of our community. But these things does not necessarily mean that we forget to live.

A little kid lives in each of us. One who wanted to be an astronaut, an aircraft pilot or a fireman. Find that kid again. And while we cannot guarantee that all your dreams will come true, it will help you rediscover yourself.

There are few circumstances in life that you can change but keeping a positive mental attitude is the key to wade through these harsh waters. Once you're able to convince yourself that you're going to live life to the fullest, the task seems less like work and more like fun.

Always remember to find a release for the emotions bottled up inside you. It's better to explode rather than implode. An atomic bomb works on the principle of implosion. That will give you an idea of how dangerous it is.

On the other hand, if your emotions are spiraling out of control, it is also important to find ways to relieve that tension. Find activities you like, to release that pent up energy. Go to the gym, workout, get your body in shape, do sports, play a game of chess, write a novel, build a generator, design a house, run for President. Whatever takes your fancy. The world's your oyster.

And above all, remember to keep smiling. Life is a gift. You just have to unwrap it.

Steps to Building Self Confidence

Self confidence, as the words suggest, is your inner feeling that gives you the assurance that you can achieve your desired results with a greater sense of responsibility. It is a belief in yourself that you can take up responsibilities and challenges in your life.

In order to attain this, you need to recognise your potential and know your inner strengths. Look at your achievements in your life's journey. Identify what is important to you and where you want to go. Replace any negative thoughts in your mind with positiveness and commit yourself to face challenges.

In order to cultivate and develop such a positive self-image the following needs to be enhanced:

1.Goals and Vision - Set realistic goals. Be a visionary and dream your goals. Convert your dreams into plans and plans into action. Stay focussed and persist in your efforts. Divide your goals into sub-goals and keeping work on them and lead them to your final goal.

2.Interpersonal Relationships - Participate in social activities. Join social clubs or charitable organisations. Get involved with people as this will channel and renew your energy. Share your thoughts, view, hopes and aspirations with your near ones.

3.Communication Skills - Learn to interact with people using charm in your conversation. Recognising and complimenting others for their achievements will boost your desires to achieve similar results.

4.Knowledge - Enhance your knowledge by reading as much as possible on varied subjects. Newspapers, magazines provide lot of information and updates. Watch appropriate channels and programs on television to broaden your knowledge. This will give you confidence when you meet people, make presentations etc.

It is worthwhile that whenever you achieve something, take pride in your achievements. Congratulate yourself. It will boost your morale. Reflect on your successes and consolidate your confidence.

A good way of doing this is to display in your house any certificates or awards you have won in the past as this will motivate you to win more laurels. Keep appreciating these small achievements for enhancing your positive attitudes and inner strength.

One must however be also ready to face setbacks as these are only challenges that occasionally stand between you and your goals. Persistence is the key to success. Analyse the situation and take corrective steps. Do everything possible to bounce back with much more vigor till desired results are obtained.

Self confidence is all about you and your goals. You can only draw inspiration from other sources, but action is what you have to take. Action in the right direction. When you are self confident, you do what you believe to be right even if others mock or criticize you. You take risks and go the extra mile to achieve better things.

Waiting for the PERFECT Moment! There Is Never ANY!

"Did you know that if you can see a cloud, it can see you?
Same for trees.
And beauty.
Tallyho,
The Universe"

So much beauty around us but we fail to just stop what we are doing and start enjoying what is around us. We all have a focus in life, but while we try to understand our mission, our journey in life, we fail miserably in doing the thing we enjoy. We go with: “When I get the right job, I will be able to take advantage of life" or” when my business succeeds, I will have more money to enjoy life" or whatever else that crosses your mind when waiting for that perfect moment to do understand your purpose.

I will need to be clear with you on something. There is NEVER a perfect moment, a perfect time, a perfect job, a perfect business, a perfect relationship, and a perfect anything. There is NEVER that. You need to have faith that everything you do today will have great impact in how you live your life tomorrow. We all rely on faith that things should change for the better, because I trust God that it will. So what is faith? "It is the acceptance of which we imagine to be true, that which we cannot prove". You can't really prove that having faith in something will render the wishes and hopes that it will come true.

The belief that you have towards the power from above is what keeps you on moving forward, and never waiting on that perfect moment to act. Life is so fragile, filled with uncertainties. You, I or nobody else can predict your future or how it will turn out. The only thing you can do NOW is to live your life NOW. We are running away and towards something, not really knowing exactly what it is. We fight in wars, in battles that is never really won because of all the destruction that is left behind. The world is NOT ours, we haven't built it.

It came to us as a blessing, as a property that we rent, but do not own. We took what was given to us and added what we felt could change the world. Yes, it did change it, but do you think for the better? The Garden of Eden was already paradise, but because of the presence of humans, we created some kind of hell that we all are facing its repercussion. We need to all make a change, to start realising that change is imminent before it is too late.
Environmental factors have a detrimental effect on us, human beings.

We don't realise it because we go on our day without realising that we are controlled, just like RC cars or aeroplanes. We are the receiver and someone is playing with the transmitter of that RC gadget. We need to change the frequency so we can detach ourselves from what I think can be destruction of human kind. There is something happening and it is not looking great for any of us. Opening our eyes is crucial to understand our environment and taking action. It is important that we take control of our own future because if we let it go as it is and not do anything about it, there will be severe consequences. It is a combination of what you see in the news (with terrorism as being a stepping stone to what can be worst and more damaging) because terrorism is just a way for us NOT to focus on what is going internally, in OUR country. They are keeping our mind busy with something else that will change our world as we see it. Time will tell! We just need to be ready for something that will shake everyone right deep in our soul.
