5 Keys to Living A Fulfilled Life

#1 - DEFINITION

Define your perfect day. What do you do when you wake up? Who are you with? Where do you live? What do you spend your time doing that day? How do you pay for everything? Once you have this day clearly laid out, tie a dollar amount to it. Then make a list of everything you need to do so that you can live that day over and over again, like groundhog day. This list is the MAIN place you need to focus your efforts moving forward.

#2 - MINDSET

Once you've steered the ship in the right direction, it's time to make sure your attitude is in aligment with our goals. Without the right attitude, everything else I'm going to tell you to do will be really hard. Just like the body thrives when you put vegetables in it, the mind thrives when you give it encouraging thoughts, positivity, knowledge, and confidence. Throw in some gratitude, too. Never start your day without taking sometime to invest in yourself Read or listen to some encouraging material. Learn something new that will give you an edge. In a world of naysayers, your mind needs REGULAR positive input (think of it as healthy mind food) and regular growth to stay on top. This is what gives high performers their edge. Don't ever deprive your mind of the "nutrients" it needs to succeed.

#3 - ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Some jobs are necessary and highly valuable to society, especially service jobs that keep us safe and healthy. If your perfect day involves having freedom, the ability to make a difference in the world, and a nice chunk of income, entrepreneurship will be a better fit for you. You pick your niche, pick your hours and location, call the shots, and have no ceiling on income and ability to serve. Entrepreneurship is a challenging journey and must be done right to avoid becoming a slave to your own creation. When conquered, it will serve your life like you never imagined!

#4 - INVESTING

Never should all the money you make be spent on personal items. Nor should it all be rolled back into the business. Your business should ultimately be an outlet for your passion, not what you rely on to pay your mortgage. Don't think of it as the way that you buy food. Place money somewhere that will always make you a return. Real estate is my vehicle of choice. There are a bunch of asset classes that allow you to create cash flow. You MUST learn how to invest in a safe, cash flowing asset so that if you fall on hard times, you won't ever hit rock bottom again. You also won't rely on your business to buy groceries and blame it if things go bad.

#5 - TIME MANAGEMENT

This is a big one. You've got to learn to value your time higher than you do now. If you are doing something that you could pay someone $10/hour to do, you're basically saying that YOU are worth $10 per hour. By trying to save money, you end up making less money. Your time needs to be spent really moving the needle. I know you have to get small stuff done at some point, but put the top 1-2 items at the beginning of your day, and knock them out first. You'll have more patience for menial tasks once you've knocked out the big picture stuff.

There you have it, now go out there and crush it! Don't hesitate to send questions or comments.
